Question
can meps DQ u from joining with high cholesterol?

Answer
Dear Chris --

Yes, you can be disqualified at MEPS for having a cholesterol count that is so high it puts you at risk for heart attacks.  Since basic training will stress your body more than most young Americans are accustomed to, any factors that put that person at risk for heart attack or stroke during exercise will become a disqualifying factor at the MEPS physical.
