Question
If you were less than 180 days in the military you are not
consider prior service based on what a Navy Reserve
Recruiter told me. Is this true? If so, why do only a few
Navy Reserve Recruiters know of this. And why would the
Navy consider this prior service when the Navy Reserves
doesn't? Or am I getting bad information all around?

Answer
Hi Sarah;
  The navy reserves and the navy may have different rules on this. I believe that the recruiter is right though. My best advice is to talk with a couple of recruiters and see what they say. I am not a recruiter and don't know for sure. Your recruiter should know, that is his job. I cant imagine him giving you wrong information on purpose. I know that there is a rule for this and it, like everything else is set in stone. It cant be both ways. Best of luck.
