Question
I went to an Army recruiter and after I took the asvab was going through the process of getting a waiver for a hernia I had in 2001. I told him about some counseling I had and he told me to get a waiver I need for a Felony drug charge I had in 2001 in which I took a pretrial diversion I could not of had any counseling of any kind.I saw him last in the first week of January and the waiver was not sent out to MEPs. If I go to another recruiter and don't tell him about the counseling, what is the likely hood that he will contact my first recruiter and find out about the counseling anyway?

Answer
The felony waiver for pre trail divesion will bevaery hard to get. The counselimg stuff will show up in police checks as well as a condition of your release.

If you go to another recruiter, he is bound to contact the other recruiter.

He hasnt sent your waiver becuase he knows he will not get it approved. He doesn't know how to tell you.

Expertise

I am a National Guard recruiter , been doing it for seven years and am a subject matter expert on qualifications for National Guard and I keep up to date on Regular Army regs and programs. I was in the Navy for 4 years and have 13 years in the Guard. I will not sugar coat my answers to you. They are usually short and to the point. If you need more in depth, ask me. Because each situation is different, alot of times you need to actually talk to a recruiter and let them evaluate your situation in person, by looking at your documents, issues etc. If I suggest this, it would be in your best interest to do so. Finally...thank you for your interest in serving this great nation of ours. Very few people can actually make the cut to serve let alone choose to do so. So thank you for wanting to and hopefully you will get a chance. Whatever branch you choose, thank you and good luck.
