Question
QUESTION: I have several traffic tickets for speeding some have become warrants some are still just tickets if I pay off just the ones with warrants and pay the other ones off after I join, will I still be cleared to join.

ANSWER: Steven,

You have to have all these issues cleared up before  you try to enlist. If you dont it will take up valuable time that the recruiter will not want to spend helping you get it done.

Its not going to look good as to why you let the fines go to warrants.. I expect that you may have to do jail time which till not benefit you at all... Get these cleared up ASAP and then explain in full detail as to WHY they have become delinquent and warrents issued. You are asking the Air Force to allow you to enlist when you have proven that you are not responsible... At the present time it will not wash... You know what you have to do..

QUESTION: So all the traffic ticket I ever got are going to show up on my FBI background check, even though they never took a fingerprint?

Answer
Only the ones that have been turned into a warrant for your arrest. This goes to the NCIS Computer that is Nation wide. If you were to get stopped right now, they will take you to jail until you settle the fines....

If you had taken care of these fines when you had the opportunity to...They would have been a very minor infraction and been waiverable at lower level. Now that they have become warrants, its going to be more difficult to get pushed thru. YOU have to bear the issue of showing the Air Force that you are able of taking care of you financial issues BEFORE they allow you to enter the Air Force. As it sits now it appears to the Air Force that you are unwilling to take responsibility of your financial obligations..

If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do.
