Question
I wanted to inquire about which jobs transfer well out of Air Force into civilian work force. I received a list of the jobs that the Air force is in high demand for but, wasn't sure which job to pick so as not to seem "lost" when I am done in 4yrs.

Answer
Terrence,
I know you asked me an "in general" question but I'd really to be more specific for you, so it would help me make my answer more specifically to you if I knew your situation.
What's your age?
Are you in high school, or college? If yes, what's your major?  If no, do you plan to go to college?  What are you interested in?  Are you good with computers?  Can you imagine yourself sitting at a desk all day working with mostly with computers?  Can you imagine yourself sitting at a desk all day working mostly with customers?  Do you like doing mechanic work on cars?  Are you the type that likes to tear things apart to see how they work?   What would YOU like to do?
These are the types of questions that the military will ask you on an aptitude test.
It wouldn't do much good for me to tell you doctors transfer well when you'd really like to be a cop.  Being in the wrong career can make your life miserable for many years.  An old saying goes," If you're doing a job you love, you'll never work a day in your life."  Send me a "Private" follow-up question with these answers, and I'll do my best to help you.
