Question
I am not sure this falls within the special operations but I am very interested in become a rescue swimmer in the SAR program.  My question is that even though my vision corrects to 20/20 will my poor vision disqualify me from the program.  I am not sure if I can use surgery as a swimmer and my recruiter was unable to answer this question.

Answer
Hello Robert:
I am not sure either if that would disqualify you from SAR. But I do know this, stay on your recruiter and have him find out for you. Thats his job and there is no reason why he cant find out if he tries hard enough. Don't give up. Never say quit.
