Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/enlisting after AFROTC med DQ

Question
In 2004 I entered college with an AFROTC scholarship. In my third year, after completing field training and transferring to a new school to peruse a different major, I was stung by a wasp and suffered an allergic reaction. In Nov 2006 I was honorably discharged and my paper work says that I am not to be reconsidered for enlistment unless the "need" of the Air Force changes. I will now graduate in May with a BS in Biology and am 2 years into immunotherapy shots. I'm hoping to be able to commission and enter the Biomedical specialties AFSC 43A. Is there any chance of being able to get a waiver so that I may enter as a healthcare officer, or even as a general officer? Is there anything specific my doctor could put in her write up that could help?

Answer
You probably need to talk to the Officer acessions people for the Air Force, but the standard I think that the standard is different in the fact that the RE code of for ENLISTMENT...not commissioning. I know that the MEPS medical standards are the same, thats the folks that you will have to be dealing with before you go to OTS.. But double check with the OA folks to get the best answer...

If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!!
