Question
my ETS date is april 18th 09, i have been in the IRR for the last 2 years waiting for this date to arrive. i have been told i am set to deploy after that date is there anything i can do?

James,
Your ETS date trumps everything else.  The folks in personnel just aren't talking to each other (nothing new there.)  I've personally seen guys in the hospital unable to walk, and personnel sends them deployment orders.  You should talk to the folks in personnel that handle separations and retirements and remind them of your upcoming ETS.  Ignore any rumors you hear about deploying.  By regulation they can't even send you TDY within 90 days of an ETS, let alone deploy you.
