Question
Well I asked you a question about a week ago. I was in army basic got hurt and discharged due to my feet and got out fixed the problem and now im trying to go back . its been a year and i am now talking to a army recruiter. anyway i talked to a marine recruiter also who told me i could get a waiver from the marine co at meps and that it could be done over night or in about two or three days. the army recruiter told me that a waiver would take from a day to a couple weeks. Im very ready to do something with my life now that i fixed my foot. Is it true that the marines can give me the go head right on the the spot from the co and if so is it a good choice to go ahead with the marines. p.s i really dont care which service just want to serve

Answer
I honestly have no idea if the Marines can do something any quicker than the Army, but if you want to go that route, there is no harm in trying all the way up to the time you have to sign the contract. If they make you an offer you like, then go for it. Just make sure that your recruiter doesn't take advantage of your desire to serve and stick you with a job you dont want.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
