can you get into any other branch of the military if you are being administrative separated from one and are given a General discharge

An administrative separation is when a servicemember is separated from the military before their enlistment is up. There are several reasons that can happen, not always bad. It's a paperwork process. Usually it just means you're not cut out to be in the military.  Not everybody is.  At least you tried.

On your discharge paperwork (DD 214 form) you'll see a block that says "Reenlistment Code".  It will contain the letters RE- with a number and maybe also a letter after it.  This code will determine if you can reenlist in another Service.  Ask your personnel office to decipher it for you.
