Question
I was in the Marines and am considering going back into the service. I currently receive compensation of 60% from the VA. Will this prevent me from re-enlisting? and if i go back in will i lose the benefit? My re-enlistment code was 1A when i got out. Thank you

Brian,
A 60% disability is pretty serious.  Does your recruiter think you can pass the physical?  If so, an RE-1A code is great.

If you reenter the military you will definitely lose your VA disability payments.  If you are successful in re-entering the USMC it is your responsibility to notify the VA as soon as your receive your first USMC paycheck.
