Hi Cynthia, I had a real quick question about getting into the Air Force, and if you can't answer the question, can you direct me to the person who can? Ok, so I've been wanting to be in the U.S.A.F. since i was a kid. Now I'm 17 and am 6'5'' (77 inches) and weigh 140-145 pounds. Will this be an issue and if so, how can I fix it. I'm perfectly healthy though, I'm just lightweight and a twig. -Laughs-. Thank you for your help.

Answer
Dear Tyler --

I do not think your light weight will be an issue if you can do the push ups, sit ups and run you need to do to pass the Air Force entry test.  I expect you will put on muscle as soon as you stop getting taller, especially if you start doing body-weight calisthenics.

Good luck to you.  Please write back, if you have other questions.
