Hi Jason ~

I am currently working with a prior service recruiter to re-enlist as a reservist, but would like confirmation on something please (recruiter is new & overwhelmed).  I have 4 years active Marine Corps and before that 4.5 active Army.  I am now 40...been out since 12/2002 and now want to finish my 20 as a reservist.  Do I have cause for concern regarding my age?  What is the max age to re-enlist as a reservist?  Thanks a bunch!

Lynn:

 Deduct 8.5 years from your age.  That is now your 'military' age, which should still make you eligible for re-enlistment.  However, if the Marine Corps turns you down, don't despair, the Air National Guard will happily take you so you can finish your time, as will most of the other branches.

I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
