Question
Sir, I unfortunately received an RE-4 misconduct on 27 jan 07. The charges were for 2 seperate days of UA. Unfortunately my father was killed on the job. I went to captains mast and expalained everything but I knew that I disobeyed a direct order. I was orderd restriction and reduction in rank from E4 to E3, 3 days brig with bread and waterand that was that. After all was said and done I was walking and a was notified by a yeoman that I was going to be discharged with a general under honorable. Request to see the co were coming back denied and so I never go to present the discharge part with him. Please help me

Answer
Marco,

As you probably already know, a code of RE-4 means "Not recommended for reenlistment."  Individuals with a Navy RE Code of "4" are normally not eligible to reenlist in the Navy, nor join another service.

A General Under Honorable Conditions is not a bad thing.

Exactly what is it you'd like me to help you do?
Colonel H
