Question
My husband wants to be in the national guard.  He was in the navy and got released on a re code 4 and it was honorable for adjustment disorders. Will he be able to get that upgraded and how would he apply???

 It's going to be extremely difficult for him to reenlist into any branch with that type of discharge/RE-code.  Has he talked to a recruiter already?  If not, I'd do that first.  But, from there, he'll have to have doctors sign off on the fact that he no longer has those issues, whatever they were.  That will require treatment and evaluation, one visit isn't going to cut it.  Then, he'll have to apply to the Dept of Navy for an upgrade to his RE code.  He may not need to do all that if the Guard will take him despite the code.  Since you didn't provide it, my suggestion is to talk to a recruiter and see what they say, you may not need to do all that.

Intelligence Specialist: MOS 0231 10 years working as an Intelligence Analyst with a Fixed Wing Fighter Squadron, Force Service Support Group, and at Headquarters, Marine Corps. Field Radio Operator: MOS 2531. Served as a Platoon Sergeant in a Communications Platoon assigned to MEU Service Support Group 24 (Special Operations Capable). Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years. I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
