I have a friend who is a 1st Lt. in the Marine Corps. He just got back from deployment at the end of March and is stationed at Camp Lejeune NC. I was just wondering if you have any insight into the amount of time spent "on the job" or working that someone in his situation/station might be responsible for. Many of my friends who have Marines in the family, are friends with or dated Marines, tell me that they keep everyone very busy on base - no matter what - but none of those Marines were officers. Any insight or thoughts available on a ballpark timetable for Officers of Marines would be most appreciated. I don't want to bother him with some things if he truly is very busy. I have no experience with other Marine friends, so this is new territory for me.
Thank you!
Answer Kate:
Since he's just back from deployment he'll have some downtime. He normally gets weekends and holidays off unless he's doing deployments or workups for them. Alot will also depend on his particular job as well.
