Question I was discharged in June 2006 with a RE-1B. I was told I could not get back in the Corp. I did join the Army Reserves in November 2006 and am currently serving a tour in Iraq with the unit. Since joining USAR I have been promoted to SGT and gotten an Army Achievment Award. My question is upon my return is there anyway I can get back in USMC?
Answer Jonathan:
It's going to depend on the reason for the discharge. You *might* be able to reenlist, but only a recruiter can tell you for sure. This code usually keeps you from reenlisting into the particular branch that you got it from, but not other branches. Again, you'll have to talk to a recruiter to be 100 percent sure.
