Question

Hello, I am 17 and enlistd in the marine corps about 5 months ago. I am scheduled to leave in september but the thing is i really upset my recruiter. He told me he was going to discharge my contract. Can he really do that? I havent even left yet. If so, am I still able to reenlist? After what period of time?

Answer
It sounds to me like you need to talk to your recruiter - he actually can discharge your contract; but it isnt the kind of thing that happens often. If he does discharge you, then Im not sure how long you would have to wait to join again. But honestly, call him and apologize, that would be a good first step...then take it from there. Best of luck Jorge.
