Question One of my friends is joining the Marine Corps, The recruiter told him that that he is going to officer school because of his AAS. What my question was is he was given a ship date to go to this school but didn’t have to attend normal boot camp, he’ll go in as a O-5 (not prier service). My friend has not gone to do his ASVAB test or MEPS. He was also told he can still file for bankruptcy before he leaves. I was always told to question every thing even when it sounds correct, I am in the military now and a lot of the stuff I have been hearing don’t sound right, can you clarify how that works and disqualifying details and rank questions.
Answer James:
Your friend is full of it, quite frankly. None of what you've been told is true, or even remotely close to the truth. Sounds like something out of a bad spy novel to me. So, either your friend is lying to you with really bad lies, or the recruiter found him to be gullible enough to believe it.
