Question
My daughter's boyfriend is currently in Army basic training. My daughter wants to enter the Air Force next year. The boyfriend is being told by the DI's that if he marries someone from another military branch - he will be court martial.
I have been in the military for 30 years and have never heard of such a thing. Officer & enlisted don't mix, same sex don't mix - but court martial for marrying someone in another branch. I know that being stationed together will be a challenge for them - but young think they can conquer all.
I tried researching on the Internet, but could not find anything.

I question his motives in fabricating such a story.
It's definitely untrue and happens all the time. You're right, being stationed together will be nearly impossible. The Join-Spouse program is only for military members WITHIN THE SAME SERVICE.
My good friend (AF colonel) is married to a female Navy Lt Commander. Out of 10 years of marriage they've been stationed together about 4 years while on a joint tour in Italy.
