Question
I was wondering prior to enlisting, you apply for OCS. During your enlistment your packet is approved and you are accepted to OCS training. Can you end your enlistment contract and report to OCS training? If so, is there a certain amount of time you have to wait to do that, and how long will that process take?

It depends on your eligibilty to apply to OCS, normally it doesn't work the way you are thinking, you apply after you enlist. However, once accepted and you become a commissioned officer you have a different type of contract. If you don't get accepted your normal enlistment contract runs it's course, and if you drop out or fail the same thing happens. You only have a certain amount of time to wait to accept the OCS deal though.

Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years.
