Question
I am currently A British, Royal Marines Commando and want to know if i can join the USCG Rescue Swimmers and if so how to apply?

Answer
Joel,
Yes you can, but you must apply for U.S. citizenship first and be issued what's commonly called a "Green Card."  It is an identification card attesting to the permanent resident status of an alien and proof that its holder, a lawful permanent resident has been officially granted immigration benefits, which include permission to reside and take employment in the USA.  You can find application forms online at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) which is a bureau of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  You don't have to give up being a British subject, you can have dual citizenship.

Then you take your green card with you and visit a nearby USCG recruiter and he'll help you process the necessary paperwork to join the USCG.  You can find a USCG recruiting office online at: http://www.gocoastguard.com/get-the-answers/find-a-recruiter

The fact that you're already a commando should make it easier to join.
I wish you well.
