Question
Good morning/afternoon/evening sir,

Is there any what that I can switch to a different branch of service, I am in the USMC? I am still on my 4 year contract I am almost on my first year point, I notice that the Marines isn't for me.

Answer
Generally the only way you'll be able to switch branches is to fulfill the terms of your original contract, buddy. Sorry to say that. If you're young enough you could try getting into a service academy... usually they will let you out to go to those, but otherwise you're going to do your 4 in the marines and then you can join some other branch. You can check with a career counselor and ask if there are any other programs that will allow you to ETS early, but the chances are slim.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
