Question
I signed a contract for the army, but while waiting to ship out for basic training i got a dui and i lost my job and my sign up bonus. Is my contract null and void because i no longer wish to go to the army, am i obligated to still pick a lesser of a job and sign up? or am i no longer tied down to the army.

If this is the active duty Army you're talking about, that means you're currently in the DEP (Delayed Enlistment Program). You can request a discharge from the DEP at any time, or the Army may discharge you from the DEP involuntarily because of your DUI.
