Question
Sir, is it possible to laterally transfer from Naval Aviation to Marine Corps Aviation once you get to flight school? Or is it mandatory to complete TBS prior to flight school to become a Marine Corps Aviator? Additionally, are you aware of other opportunities to transfer perhaps after your first tour?

Answer
You can transfer from the Navy to the Marine Corps, but it is a long process...but it nevertheless happens. However, once you transfer  you would have to go to TBS, all marine officers must go there and for good reason. I knew two guys in my TBS class who did exactly what you are talking about.
