Question
QUESTION: Okay well me and my boyfriend have a son and we are not married if he enlists could he go on active duty or is he prohibited?

ANSWER: He will go on Active Duty. Unless he selects to go in as a reservist in which case he will serve in the reserves and do one wkdn a month, two weeks a year (but probably still get deployed). Also, as a reservist he will not get paid nearly as much as a full time active duty military member.

QUESTION: Okay thank you, but one more question what if he has tickets do they have to be fully paid off or any other debt

Answer
I would highly recommend getting all finances in order before enlisting. Boot camp doesnt allow time for such luxuries. With that said, credit card debt and student load debt and normal kinds of debt are ok, but legal debt (such as tickets and fines) must be paid off beforehand.
