I am currently thinking(really hard) about joining the Marines one reason being I need some focus and discipline in my life-I am 22 yrs old with some college experience- I have spoken to a recruiter who to me seemed very honest and direct - how can I put my fears to rest so that I can make a finale decision?

Dear Mary --

Ask to visit a Marine base and see some demonstration training.  If after attending such a demonstration, you can imagine yourself succeeding in such a challenge, then apply to enlist.  If you cannot imagine yourself succeeding in such an environment, try and find another means of gaining structure in your life and learning discipline.
