Question
i was wondering how long it would take for me to join the coast guard i already turned in a large packet to the recruiter with my information but still haven't taken my asvab or done the medical tests yet. what are my chances of getting in with credits in college and as an eagle scout.

Answer
Hello Oliver,
Thank you for wanting to join the service of choice, The Coast Guard is probably the best service out of all the branches. As it stands right now all of the services have met there quota for the year..So come October 1st make sure that you have your ASVAB and medical done..October 1st is when the services begin there fiscal year and when recruiters are given there I guess you could say Quota for the year to fill the enlisted rankings, so be knocking on the recruiters door and get it done as soon as possible. Exactly how many credits do you have for college? As for eagle scout I don't believe that it will bring any addition for rank. I hope that these answers help you out feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions...Again thank you for wanting to serve.
