Question
June 25, 2002 I was discharged from the USAF with a Gen. under Honorable Conditions, JKK, RE-2B. I'm 7 months into a wait for a waiver for reentry into the military (Army National Guard). What type of outcomes have you heard, Good or Bad??

Answer
Hi Hanif,

Not good. Waivers are generally favorably considered when a military branch is having problems meeting their recruiting goals. For the past several months, all of the branches have been meeting or exceeding their recruiting goals. This is probably due, in large part, to the poor civilian job market.

From their point of view, why should we approve a waiver, when there are enough applicants, who don't need one, to fill their recruiting goal?

Hope this helps!
