Question
Hi, my name is katie.  I am a 14 year old who has a dad and a brother who both served in the army. As i said I am a girl and I would like to know what kind of jobs are offered for women?  I would love to fly, but my brother said that women can not fly the jets?  I would love to serve my country, but what is offered for women?
     Thank you very much.

Answer
Hello Katie,
I remember when I was 14 I knew I wanted to join the military. As a female for you and wanting to be a fighter pilot...You can do it. I'm going to enclose a link so that you can see for yourself.. Here is the link:  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16158290/  About the only things females are not allowed to do is be in a combat position for example infantry or special operations. You can do whatever you want to do as long as you put your mind to it. There was a female pilot in Iraq her name was Kim Campbell she was an A-10 warthog pilot if you do a google search on her it will bring up her biography.  But in order to fly you will need a college education so make sure that you continously hit the books and get a college degree. If you have any other questions please let me know.
Thank You,
Eric
