Question
long story short. I Served 8 years in army, have perfect record, except for the last 3 months i was in. Basically, as soon as I got to my last unit things went bad, 1st sgt didn't like me. I ended up getting chapter re3 code, patterns of misconduct. I have been out since Nov. 14th 2008. Before my discharge was final, the guy at JAG said i could fight it easily, but my wife was having problems with her pregnancy, so I just wanted to get back to her and i signed it. Really just want back in to fulfill, my obligation and retire. Any advice..
                      thanks for your time.

Answer
You may have done yourself a disservice by signing the paperwork instead of challenging it because now you'll most likely have to go back and gather evidence and challenge the RE code if you want to get back into the military.  You need to gather any and all documents and training certificates that you accumulated during your career that show you in a positive light and get recommendations and character letters from officers and senior NCOs that you have served with.  Use all of that to try and convince the military to upgrade your RE code and allow you back on active duty.  Recruiters and your local VA would be good places to start with the upgrade process.  Good luck.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
