Question
My son is home from camp Penenlton awaiting orders.  So he says.  Is there a way I can confirm this or find out if he is no longer in the milatary?

Believe it or not, this is a very common question.  I usually get it from worried parents, abandoned wives, and law enforcement officers.

You need to call the Military Personnel Locator on Camp Pendleton.  It can be accessed by calling (760) 725-5171 where you will be asked to provide SSN, Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial, and Rank (if known) of the military person you need to locate.  

If you don't have any luck there, you can call the USMC Worldwide Locator in Virginia at (703) 784-3941 / 3942 / 3943 and an operator will assist you Monday through Friday, 8am through 4pm #EST).
