Question
Recently my son took his meps testing and scored high, and also scored good on his physical testing. His blood pressure tends to elevate when going to the doctor, so he was supposed to get three reading to take back to his recruiter. But each time his blood pressure would rise . I have an accurate monitor that was taken to the doctor and tested against their readings and they were the same readings, At home his blood pressure would be normal but get really high at the doctor. My question is can the airforce take home reading with a signature from an lpn or rn? Please respond

Answer
Jennifer,
Short answer NO.

This is a very common condition so he shouldn't feel alone.  What you can do is look in the Yellow Pages and find a Home Health Care professional who will come to your home and take his blood pressure and certify the readings.  They're usually nice folks who will chat and visit first to help put him at ease.  Sometimes they'll let YOU perform the check while they record the readings.  They'll repeat it as many times as necessary until you get an acceptable reading.

That usually always does the trick.  And the good new is they're usually cheaper than a doctor.
I hope this works for him.
