First, thank you for your time.
I am trying to determine if I am eligible for Space A travel. My ID is blue, stamped retired on the front and on the back has DD2. Am I eligible

Yes, you are eligible.  Your blue ID card signifies you are a retiree.  Space A travelers are divided into six Categories.  Active Duty members on official duty orders always have highest priority, and retirees are considered Category 6, in other words, dead last.

Space A travel is ideal for retired travelers.  Although you must compete for seats within categories based upon the date and time of registration, retirees usually have the time and patience to wait until empty seats become available.  If you can travel on short notice you can travel for nearly nothing.

The DD2 on the back stands for Department of Defence Form number 2.  All military ID Cards use form DD2.
