Question
For enlistment purposes in the Army, US citizens also includes Puerto Rico, the Northern Marianas Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. This being said, can Soldiers from these islands get Security Clearance for MOS's that requires it?

Answer
Dear Robson --

Being a citizen of those US territories and former territories would not preclude someone from getting a US security clearance, but personal behavior could.

So I cannot answer your question because residency and citizenship will not cause denial of a clearance application but a lot of behaviors could lead to clearance application denial.

Good luck to you.
