Question
I am 22 years old. I signed up for the US Navy Reserves last August, I go to bootcamp in May. I want to pursue a career in real estate and hope to get a contractors license through my 3 months of A school. Is that possible? Are you a licensed contractor completing A school as a Builder? If not what should I do to receive that further training? Also are there opportunities to volunteer to make more money while in the reserves? I work for walmart, not exactly a great salary.

Answer
You need to check with your recruiter about what exactly your trade school gives you in terms of licenses or professional certificates. My hunch is that you dont get the certificate but can probably get one with just a little extra effort on your part. As for making more money, you'll have to check with the reserve unit you're with. Some of them have spaces to go full-time, but those are limited.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
