Question
My husband in currently in the Army, his ETS date is quickly approaching. If he were to re-enlist and go green to gold would he have to deploy while he is in school or would he only be deployable once he is finished?
There is currently no re-enlistment option for green to gold that my contacts in the recruiting world knew of. He would re-enlist and then apply for a green to gold scholarship. This said, he would not be required to deploy if he gets the full resident scholarship.

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.
