Question
I previously went to MEPS for air force and was temporarily disqualified do to a past skull fracture with a CSF fluid leak. I was told by MEPS that it needed to be 2 years from the indicdent without any reoccurence or side effects.  Well here I am and it's now 2 years with no reoccurence or side effects and my stuff was submitted to MEPS. They came back and said to send it to the AF surgeon general. Why did it get sent to the sergeon general if I did what MEPS told me? Also is it likely that the sergeon general will give me approval?

Answer
There are certain things that the Surgeon General has to approve. Since the CMO at the MEPS did send it to the SG. The SG will review all the medical documents, possible call your docs that handled the case and then make the determination. Since I am not a doctor, I cant make an opinion as to what the outcome will be. Just have faith and be available to answer any questions or get any documentation that they might need.
