Question
Soon to be freshman in college. Army ROTC is located on my college campus, my preference however, is AF ROTC, but I would have to travel an hour several times a week to a different campus for AF.
I will not have scholarship first two years. What (pros and cons) can I expect if I do two years Army ROTC, (because of conveinence)then transfer to AF ROTC when I transfer schools? Or...should I just travel to the other campus and do AF? My ultimate goal is AF officer.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
The only pro would be that you would get some sort of indoctorination into military ways. Otherwise job duties, procedures, policies, and most everything else between the services differ widely. If your ultimate goal is to be an AF officer, you may want to try and attend the class at the other school, but if its easier Army ROTC probably works there. Who knows, you may change your mind and decide to become an Army offcer.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
