Question
I am currently active duty in Fort Carson.  have been seeing behavioral health for depression, during this they seem to think that I am bipolar. If  am what will happen to me? Will I med board? Will I get disability from the Army? I am not getting any answers from anyone here, I have tried my chain of command and they don't seem to know. Thank you for your help.

Answer
What will happen to you is up to the doctors that are caring for you.  If your disorder is severe enough, they would move to separate you from the military but, if you can be treated and the doctors think you can still be of service, you could be retained on active duty.  As far as disability, that would be determined during a med board process.  It isnt guaranteed, and don't think that whatever you would get would be much.. prepare yourself for finding another job and such.  I'm sorry I can't answer more clearly but you'd have to ask your treatment specialist what they are going to do with you.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
