Question
Hello,

On February the of 2009 i was told i was getting chaptered for positive urinalysis. Well it took them three months before the decided to reverse the chapter and when my chain of command did they told me if i stayed out of trouble for a year and complete a chaplains course my chapter would be gone and i would be allowed to stay in the Army. Well i am currently deployed to Iraq and were coming up to the end of the deployment My chain of command told me that as soon as we get back to the states they are going to resume my chapter after they had told me what a good job i had done with staying out of trouble its been a year and a half since the events took place and i wanted to know if there is anything i can do? and if i could fight this in a legal way?

Answer
Aron,
Your case has to be documented somewhere and you may have even signed it agreeing to the suspended punishment.  You can, and should, fight this because you've kept your part of the agreement.  At this point you need legal help.  You should contact your JAG office for assistance.  They  can help you with no penalty to you.
Good luck,
Colonel H
