Question
I separated with an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 2007 after 6 years of service. While out of service I have received my bachelors in Information Technology. I have been thinking about rejoining the Air Force. I wanted to know if my degree would help me at all with the type of job I could choose ( I was in the Civil Engineer Squadron) or a possible raise in rank( I was a E-4 when I separated). Could I pick my duty station?
If you now have a BA you should look into being an officer. You are now considered prior service and can not go back to active duty with the air force. You can go reserves or air national guard however. As an officer, you can return to active duty. Get with an Officer Recruiter for more info.

If it is a career in the military you are looking for or thinking about I most likely have the answer. If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
