Question
I was discharged from NAVY OCS with a re-enlistment code of Re3k.  At the time there were extreme family issues that needed my attention.  That was over a year ago and since I have obtained my masters degree and I want to apply to the Navy ODS program? Do you think I have any chance of being picked up?

A Reenlistment Eligibility code of 3K means exactly, "Disenrolled from Naval Academy, not considered qualified for enlisted status."

Individuals with a Navy RE Code of "3" can normally reenlist in their service or another Service if a waiver is granted.  You can always talk to a recruiter and see if he'll process a waiver application for you.  

Hint:  The quota for waivers is already full for this fiscal year.  Try waiting until the new waivers come out on October 1st to increase your odds.

There's no harm in trying.
