Question
My son is going for a test next week to determine if he has asthma.  My son has never had asthma in his life.  I'm his mother, I know he hasn't.  When he first started his job in the A.F., he was painting planes.  They would wear the full protection garb, but at some point, inspectors came in and found that the protection clothing were not keeping the chemicals out.  Now my son may have "asthma" and may be discharged.  What course of action can he take?

Answer
Well since hes been painting aircraft, it sounds to me that hes been in a while. If they determine that he has this condition, they will more than likely separate him with a disability. If hes over 8 years they will probably retire him. He will under go a Medical Evaluation Board that will determine his fate as far as his career and his benefits should they choose to separate him.
