Question
I have had two ankle surgeries on my left leg. i have full mobility in it and there is no pain. However it does look a little disformed so to speak. It leans semi-inward. I have played sports the past three year and I and currently enrolled in the police explorer program. i know just because i have no pain doesn't mean that the Marine Corps will accept me. i was just wondering what you thought about my whole situation. Do you think that they would accept me with the injury that i had? I should be talk to a recruiter some time this week. i have also been trying to look up information on the computer about it but it all seems to be a little shaky. So if you could give me your personal advice that would be great.

 It's murky because, well, quite frankly, it is.  Until you see a MEPS doctor, and they make the determination for a waiver, it'll be up in the air.  Once you talk to the recruiter, they'll be able to give you some more information, but even they won't know until you go to MEPS I'm afraid.

Intelligence Specialist: MOS 0231 10 years working as an Intelligence Analyst with a Fixed Wing Fighter Squadron, Force Service Support Group, and at Headquarters, Marine Corps. Field Radio Operator: MOS 2531. Served as a Platoon Sergeant in a Communications Platoon assigned to MEU Service Support Group 24 (Special Operations Capable). Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years. I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
