Question
I am currently 29, I served 4 years and 5 months and got an honorable discharge with an RE-1 renlistment code. I am currently working on a degree, but have not even received my associates yet. What is the oldest I could be to come back into the Navy, but as an officer this time once I completed my degree? Thank you very much for your time and your knowledge

Answer
Shaun,
I'm afraid you've missed the age limit cut-off already.  Navy OCS requires you to be less than 29 years of age at time of commissioning.

If you enlist in the Navy (which you can do until you're age 34)and are on active duty, you can apply for the Enlisted Commissioning Program  as long as you'll be less than 31 by the time of commission.  This can be difficult to do, but if you already have a baccalaureate degree, your chances will be much better.

If you'd like to join another Service and not dead-set on the Navy, the Army is accepting OCS applicants (especially those with prior service) up to the age of 39.

That's about your only choices.  I'm assuming you'll need another 2 years to obtain a Bachelor's Degree, so there's just no way you'll be eligible for the Navy.

I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, but that's the facts.
Thanks for your service.
Colonel H
