Question
I signed a homosexual admission paper the day after I was
threaten to be beaten up over a picture that was said to
have me kissing a guy. But they never showed me the picture.
I was on Amitriptyline, and had took a T3 in the same day.
Both can cause confusion, and I had drank in the same
weekend. I've just now learned about the side effects of
these drugs, and it makes me wonder how lucid I was. There
also was no investigation, and I was discharged in 3 days.
Do you think I have a case that I could take to get my RE4
changed so that I may either rejoin, or get a government
job?

Answer
The Re4 does not prevent you from getting a govt jobm, RE4 just means you have a disqukaification that does not allow you to join againm which admitting to homosexuality does.  admititng to homosexuality usually does not give you a bad discharge?  What did you get?  was it genral under honorable conditions?  or "other than honorable?

Expertise

I am a National Guard recruiter , been doing it for seven years and am a subject matter expert on qualifications for National Guard and I keep up to date on Regular Army regs and programs. I was in the Navy for 4 years and have 13 years in the Guard. I will not sugar coat my answers to you. They are usually short and to the point. If you need more in depth, ask me. Because each situation is different, alot of times you need to actually talk to a recruiter and let them evaluate your situation in person, by looking at your documents, issues etc. If I suggest this, it would be in your best interest to do so. Finally...thank you for your interest in serving this great nation of ours. Very few people can actually make the cut to serve let alone choose to do so. So thank you for wanting to and hopefully you will get a chance. Whatever branch you choose, thank you and good luck.
