Question
I am a former marine with 5 yrs. of outstanding service. I
have been out for some time and I am currently looking to go
back to active duty.
A couple of years ago I was arrested and charged with 1)
felony possession of cocaine and 2) felony possession of
marijuana. The charge # 1 was dismissed within the court
hearing and the charge #2 was dismissed after a period of
one year and probation. There were no convictions and my
charges have since been expunged. With this information, is
it possible for me to get back into the Marines?

I doubt, seriously, if you'll be able to reenlist with that particular record. Nowadays the Marine Corps is well above it's staffing levels recruiting wise, and they are being extremely picky about enlisting folks who need waivers for criminal issues, such as yours. Despite the expungements, you would still require waivers, and it's unlikely, in my opinion, they'll be granted. Still, never hurts to try, and contact a recruiter, they'll get you moving.

Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years.
I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
