hello sir, i am 31 year old male seeking to join the navy since i been 18. but my question is will i be disquialfied from joining the navy for not haveing a thyroid gland.

Hypothyroidism is the opposite of hyperthyroidism – or overactive thyroid – a condition in which the thyroid gland makes too much thyroxine.
According to the military medical regs for enlistment, you CAN join with hypo- you'll need to control it with a drug like Synthroid. It's the opposite that disqualifies you, an overactive thyroid gland which causes many of the body's functions to slow down. Hyper- is a disqualifier because it's hard to pinpoint and hard to treat.
So yes, you can join.
