Question
I was discharged from the Navy with an RE-4code about 1 1/2years ago. I am looking to re-enlist into the Army but was told I can not until I get my re-enlistment code changed. This was not for any drugs or alcohol or any criminal offenses. Could you please tell me if I can get this changed and how. Thank you for your time.

Bret,
Nobody will take you with an RE-4 code, regardless of the reason.  It's possible to file an appeal to change it, but it's purposely a very difficult process, expensive and very time consuming.  You must prove the government was wrong to give you an RE-4 and the government hates to be proven wrong.  I have never heard of anyone being successful.
